Earlier this week, specks on the LG Escape leaked to the Internet, along with pictures, and on Tuesday AT&T released a video confirming that the Escape will be launching on the 16th of this month. The Escape will operate on AT&T's 4G LTE network, and it is positioned as an entry-level smartphone. The Escape will come running Android 4.0, with an assortment of AT&T-specific features included.

Inside, the Escape has a 1.2GHz dual-core processor and 4GB of internal memory, expandable up to 32GB with a microSD card. It doesn't have a front-facing camera, but its rear camera has a resolution of 5MP. Its display is a 4.3-inch qHD multitouch screen with IPS technology. It's also equipped with Dolby Mobile surround sound. The Escape will also feature NFC capability and a 2150mAh battery. Its build of Android 4.0 will feature a number of AT&T-specific features meant to enable sharing and smoother web-browsing. The Escape will be available beginning next week for $50 with a two-year contract.
