ADB keyboard on PC?

While rooting around in my loft I came across an old ADB keyboard, it's an Apple Extended clone (By someone called Icicle according to the sticker on the bottom), this seams to be 'buck spring' board (all the keys make 'clicky' noises.
As everyone is always enthusing about these type of boards, I would like to give it a go.
But as it's ancient its ADB, and I would rather use it at work where I do more typing (on a Windows XP pc). So is there any other option than the seamingly expensive iMate, which at $39/£35 UK is a bit on the expensive side for a 'test'.

No other choice I know of. ADB was Mac-specific and the only way to use one on a PC is with just such an adapter.
