Nice Marware protection kit. I'm getting that for my MacBook Pro tonight. I'll post some pictures either in this thread or the MBP picture thread because it would be interesting to see the difference. Do you like the protection kit?

The Marware kit is great. Priced at $19.99 usd its a good addition to any Macbook or Pro. I've heard that it wont stop yellowing on white Macbooks but well see. I will keep the forum posted.

My local Apple store doesn't sell the kit. I had to call all over to get the kit and found a mac place that sells it. I heard it adds comfort for your wrists but who knows! I use an iLap, BT apple mouse, and BT keyboard so it will only benefit me for when I'm on the go.

Finally I have bought a canon powershot.
Here is my home office (I like it simple). The printer, the external burner, the backup drive and my iPod are in a sideboard.

Looks very stylish, I like it. One thing though - where's the cables to the peripherals?

Thanks.
The cables are in the table drawer. I get them out when I need them (just this morning I made a backup) which means all the peripherals are not permanently connected. For me a permanent connection is useless because I burn a dvd maybe once a month. Usually I have the stuff that I am working on on my Powerbook, on my iPod and on my office Thinkpad. So also a backup once a week is sufficient for me.
Internet is wireless as is my inkjet and the itunes connction to my yamaha stereo.
What counts is a clean desk, so I can get a book or a sheet of paper to draw sketches or write notes whithout cleaning before and thus interrupting my flow of thoughts.

no, but i wouldn't recommend myspace to my worst enemy... it's awful.
she does, however, have a black 30 gig ipod*, and works the itunes store like a pro. she also uses gmail through mail.app (pop access) and has a certain amount of familiarity with ichat av, expose, dashboard, safari, iphoto, and google earth.
(on her previous computer -- a dell -- it took all of her wits to figure out how to connect through AOL and get mail through yahoo mail... viva la mac)

My current setup. Waiting for a 4 port usb hub, Seagate USB Harddrive, and I still need to setup the printer. I think I might pick up one of those bluetooth printer adapters. but I don't need it bad enough to justify $50 on one just yet. Also I am looking for a cheap bluetooth keyboard off of ebay to go along with my logitech BT mouse.

actually, no. i just happened to be in Windows making sure my digital camera connects properly.
that, and the fact that whenever I try to watch a windows media video in Safari or Firefox on OSX it crashes my browser! ugh

the klipch promedia 4.1 has front/rear cables. if i only connect one, then i get half the bass from the subwoofer and obviously only one channel. hence the splitter

Wow, the Blackbook looks übersexy next to the white MB. You just made me feel bad about my planned purchase of the low-end white MB Maybe I should just go for a BlackBook...
Nice pics all, BTW! Keep them coming, so that I can keep on drooling

All right, I've honestly had enough of these people saying that the black macbook looks like a Dell... does the cool design, single color (not mutli-color and flashy like those slutty dells) not say enough? NOT TO MENTION the big white apple on the back!! While white looks more like a Mac than black does, I seriously don't see the big deal. BLACKBOOK ALL THE WAY!!

i love the blackbook- very retro, very sex in the city. reminds me of my g3.
please note that i do find it scary that I think of a computer from 2000 as retro.

It's the Logitech S530 for Mac, I was going to get the Apple BT combo but the BT MM wasn't out, so I went with this. It's really nice, my only gripes are that the mouse buttons can't be mapped to expose, and when I unplug my Macbook to take it around, when I plug it back in the mouse sensitivity goes through the roof. Overall its really nice and I see no reason to switch, even though the BT MM came out 2 weeks after I bought this, haha.

i recently sold my imac so now im stuck with only my macbook pro and my 20" dell lcd. heres the catch, with my 12" powerbook...i had a realitively easy time getting a nice setup going seeing how all the ports are on the left side, but with this macbook pro...all the wires are all over the place and it's difficult to come up with an elegant solution, and yuck setups really bug me (especially loose wires as of late).
with that said, anybody out there got a pretty setup for the 15" mbp along side an external monitor?

Because of starting pains in my shoulder, and the fact that I hardly travel with my MacBook, I decided to make my setup a little bit more permanent .

I know, but I don't have the money for that yet. I need to sell my Windows laptop, its accessoiries (keyboard/mouse combo, laptop stand) and my PDA (I don't use it at all) before I can afford that.

It's a BenQ 20.1", don't remember the model but I think they only make one. I like it a lot, but of course I wish I had a ACD.
