I am a PC user, and know very little about macs ( other than paying for them) I purchased the osx tiger X for a 4 year old mac with the understanding it had timers on it. I cant find them if it does, if it does have them does anyone know how to use it? If it does not, does anyone know how or where to get a timer for a mac? I am trying to limit mac use by a pre teen, and try to keep her to an hour a day. The pcs have that but have failed to find one for a mac, thanks Frank..

Do you mean something that is a timer/countdown app? If so there are lots and lots...

Here's a quick selection I just got from VersionTracker:

VersionTracker is a good place to get software from generally.

No, I think he's asking for a timer that limits login time - parental controls.

Hello again! Just came across this today at MacUpdate:

LoginManager 7.7 - MacUpdate

That sounds more like it...

Why would you want to limit your child's exposure to a Mac? Are you afraid she will end up smarter than her PeeCee Dad?
