Recently, every time my MacBook Pro wakes, it asks which network I want to join, even if I'm at home and the only network is mine. The setting says it should join known networks, but it's clearly not doing that.
Can't say why, but try deleting your network from the list in the network prefs, then rejoin and make sure you drag it to the top of the list (or near the top if you have one you use more often). Should do the trick. You might also consider deleting the Keychain entry for it before readding the network.
I have plenty of more important things to do, if only I could bring myself to do them....
