I have a PowerBook 5300 with 24MB of RAM. I want to run OS 8.1 on it. The 8.1 installer installes OT/PPP and ARA 2.1. I'd like to upgrade to ARA 3.0 but can't seem to find the installer anywhere. My 8.5.1 CD has ARA 3.1 which won't run with OS 8.1. Can someone tell me where I can get ARA 3.0? ARA 3.1.3 is available from Apple but where is ARA 3.0. Or would anyone like to talk me out of updating to 3.0? I don't want to ugrade my OS to 8.5/8.6 because with 24MB of RAM and only a 500MB drive it just runs too slow.
