I remember at this time last year galleries were popping up all over the net... Ads throughout Manhattan were everywhere. I can't seem to find one photo on any of the Apple news sites. There must be some galleries out there -- come on!
Let's show 'em why Macworld 2003 won't be like Macworld 2002.

Apple isn't there this year so no one cares... or is it just that Jobs isn't giving a keynote? Well, nobody cares anyway.

I guess Apple is there.

But still, their exhibit is similar to an Apple Store so it isn't as enticing as it used to be.

Does anyone else think this might be a sign that MW East is dead or in critical condition?

I was there today and it's dead all right. No energy, no excitement, just zombies walking around the floor looking for freebies. Not too many of them either. I missed the Joznote but it sounds like that was no big deal. The Expo took up about 1/2 the floor space as last year, and it still wasn't crowded. Maybe moving it to Boston will revive the show. Lord knows it needs it. If MWNY had a living will we'd all be at it's bedside talking about removing life support.

The reason MWNY is dead this year is because of Apple. Not that much hype is usually centered around WWDC. WWDC stole MWNY's thunder!!

Maybe Apple will decide to support it more next yr in Boston.

No.

The reason Apple is pissed off is because they are leaving NY for Boston. Theres no way they will support the Boston Expo more. I think from now on we can expect WWDC to be the new launchpad for summer products and MW to simply be a big showcase.

yeah..saw the new g5's..they are uglier in person than in the photographs...well..maybe not ugly..but very boring/plain/simple/industrial looking.

I really like the usb/firewire port IN THE FRONT though...thats going to make my life a lot easier! But I'm waiting on a rev b g5 before I purchase one....with hopefully one of those sony DVD burners that burn like 20 gigs on a dvd instead of the paltry 4.6 limit now.

I have a dual 1.42 here so no pressing need for me to upgrade currently.
