searched around but didn't have any luck finding downloadable effects and transitions to add into Keynote. Sorry.

AFAIK, you cannot add transitions to Keynote beyond the ones that are pre-programmed. But do make sure you've checked Include Obsolete Animations in the General Preferences tab to include all of the transitions/effects from the first two versions of Keynote.

Do the theme packs not include transitions/effects as well? I'm not sure as I don't use Keynote, just passing information along in case it could help.
