Im leaning towards the black macbook, because the color and HD, but its going to be a refurb. Are the black macbooks hard to clean? I mean is it a burden?

Why get a refurb when Amazon will sell you a brand new one for $1,399.00 after rebate? Amazon also doesn't charge tax and offers free delivery on it.

i personally always go for the used macs now. So i am assured that it doesn't have any dead pixels or other problems. there's a guy on the forums selling his blacbook with 2gb ram for $1400. really nice price, and as long as they haven't opened up the rest of the macbook (the ram and hd is user replaceable), the warranty is still 100% good

as for cleaning it, the blacbooks are notoriously hard to keep clean. refurbished or not, it is a fingerprint magnet. i use walmart's eyeglass cleaning solution and microfiber cloth to get rid of the fingerprints. but there is not permanent damage.

Washing your hands before using is also a good idea...

How many have seen iBooks where the characters on the keyboard just fade away. Imagine screening on keys rather than etching them! Apple employees are trained to say "Do you use hand lotion?" to which I reply "No, my hands are naturally this soft--and I wash them before using the computer." They've replaced several keyboards under AppleCare as a result.
