Hi.
I found that the appletalk control strip in my system has dissapeared from the bar... but if i look inside my system folder, inside control strips it is still there.
How can I have it visible again. Does someone know how to fix this problem....
Thanks

Sounds like a disk hygene problem. Try rebuilding your desktop. If that doesn't work try Disk First Aid. Then try a better/bigger disk utility like Norton/Disk Warrior/TechTool

This happens all the time for me. I don't know what causes it, but I know how to fix it, as long as you have MacOS 8.5 or later. Drag the Appletalk control strip module out of the Control Strip Modules folder. Now, drag that module onto the control strip. You should now have that module installed like it was never missing.

Also make sure the Control Strip is fully extended and not hiding any modules...

I already did everything you said and it didn't work. I will try again... maybe copying the control strip from another computer to mine... thanks anyway.

Also, make sure all of your networking control panels and extensions are in activated. CSMs won't load if their INITs and CDEVs aren't loaded.

Thanks everyody.. The problem has been solved. There is an extension called network setup extension and I dont know who dissabled it. Anyway, I didnt know either the control strip need all the extension to be loaded since this one is a new extension in systems 8.5 or later.
Thanks again..
