Razer has unveiled a pair of gaming notebooks that are both less than an inch thick. The updated Blade and the larger Blade Pro refine the design of the gaming peripheral producer's previous notebook, while also updating the internal components to include a fourth-generation Haswell processor from Intel, and moving from an Nvidia GTX 660M to a GTX 765M GPU.

The smaller Blade has a 14-inch 1600x900 display in an all-aluminum case weighing 4.1 pounds and measuring just 0.71-inches thick. Inside is 8GB of RAM, the choice of 128GB, 256GB, or 512GB SSD storage, Qualcomm Killer NIC-powered Wi-Fi and Ethernet, Bluetooth 4.0, and Dolby Home Theater v4 audio processing. The keyboard uses Razer's Anti-Ghosting technology and is backlit, while its "custom-made gaming grade" trackpad provides multi-touch gesture support. It also has three USB 3.0 ports, HDMI 1.4a, a 150-Watt power adapter, and a 70Wh battery.

Increasing the size of its display to 17.3-inches and a resolution of 1920x1080, the larger Blade Pro packs the same improved components as the Blade. Thanks to its use of a similar case as the previous generation, it retains the Switchblade UI instead of a normal trackpad, and slips in a larger 74Wh battery. It is also slightly thicker, measuring in at 0.88-inches, and weighs 6.5 pounds. In order to justify the "Pro" part of the Blade Pro title, it includes a number of applications pre-installed, including Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and Maya, as well as the company offering steep discounts to indie game developers.

The Blade Pro and the Blade will be available to pre-order from June 3rd, with the Pro starting from $2,299 and the standard from $1,799.
