wish they would seed a torrent for this, everyone could download together...without the BS of the game sites...

perhaps when my download finishes in 4 hours I'll figure out how to seed a torrent and give it a try...

I'm a little disappointed nobody has reported anything yet. There are eleventy one billion mirrors serving the update right now...surely someone somewhere has got it running on an iMac Core Duo.

Thanks.

Jebus H. Christ guys, the Intel Macs don't run productivity apps all that well and you sure as hell can't use it to do some serious Photoshop work...you guys have nothing else to do but play some freakin' games and post some benchmarks. Give us some FPS numbers.

Some benchmarks from other sites confirm it. I won't link to them since I feel like I need to punish the MacNN community for not participating in collecting benchmark results.

How does UT2k4 perform on the intel iMac at the native resolution of 1440x900 with medium to high level graphics?

I don't know how to do a time demo in UT04, but on an Intel 20" iMac, everything set on highest, with a rez of 1680 x1050, it's as fluid as can be! It's treat after having to run everything at its lowest settings and still get all jittery on my G4.
