I get 124 and I have the BTO 5400rpm.

YOu know, Xbench scores much lower if you are on battery power than on AC! This is especially true if your battery is getting low and is still the case even if you keep your power manager set to full processor cycles.

My PB was on a Ac Power when I ran Xbench. Going from 123.6 to 126 is not that great IMHO. The only difference I noticed speed wise was when moving large audio files, the 7k60 was faster. Overall I do not think there is a reason to upgrade. In fact I put my stock 80gig back in , I was worried about warranty issues. Installing the drive is very easy. You just have to take your time and be careful. I think swapping the drive on the 17 is easier than the old Ti's .

I get 123,34 score with a 15" 1,25ghz pb with 5400rpm HD.

4200rpm Toshiba: Disk Test: 37.35

7200rpm Hitachi: Disk Test: 79.05


Most individual disk tests doubled, some even closer to tripled.
