I've got the 12" pb and I was wondering if anyone was experiencing the same problem I am. When I hook up an external display (17" CRT), I have no shadow under my mouse pointer. This is despite quartz extreme being active (according to a tester I downloaded). This isn't a problem. However, even after putting my computer to sleep and disconnecting the external monitor, there's no shadow under my mouse pointer. If I reboot, it's back.

Does anyone else have this problem and do you have a fix? (Not that it's causing me any difficulty right now, it's just odd and I'm concerned that it's a sign of some other problem.)

TIA.

ummm You need to be more descriptive. take a screen shot or somethign for us I might have an answer for you. I don't want to give one until i can visually c what your talking about. if this isnt possible for any reason then delete the preference file for system prefs, and the finder then restart and zap the pram.

I was as descriptive as I could be. What I described was exactly what's happening. Look at your mouse pointer. See the shadow underneath it? Well, that's not there after I plug an external monitor in. And it's not there after I unplug it and I'm only using one screen again. I'd take a screen shot, but I'm not sure the mouse shows up in screenshots.
