To dislike Sinatra is a sign of highly questionable taste. To dislike the Beatles is a serious character flaw.

Taking someone elses creations, and claiming them as your own, is pathetic. You've pretty much insulted the creators by saying it was you who put the hard work into these icons... and this isn't the first time you've claimed someone elses artwork as your own.

Smarten up. Ignorance is no excuse.

Reply is the button on the right btw... close though.

I agree, wholeheartedly. Now that being said, does anyone other than me think it's about time that Hein ended his protest and started making icons again?

I can understand his anger at the scumbags who stole his work, but to let that put an end to his creations is a bit excessive, I think.

Okay, be gentle.

[Edited to add that I saw this thread BEFORE seeing the thread in which mouss blatantly ripped off two artists. Shame on you, man!]

I'm trying to figure out whether there's some way that we're taking the wrong interpretation of mouss's poor English, but seeing as how he linked to a ResExcellence download that claims the icons are his, I just can't figure out a way that this could be a misinterpretation on our part.

Any way I cut it, he seems to have grabbed someone else's icons and tried to pass them off as being his own.

mouss, je parle franais un peu si vous pensez que les gens ici ne vous comprends pas correctemente.

Such language... good thing I'm not American huh?

Canadians understand french... thanks to all those wasted years of french we have to take in school. I think Mr. Pottymouth needs a timeout.

In English: First of all, not everyone here is American. Second, now not only do you look like a retard, but an immature one that does not know when to shut up and sit down.

In French: Tout d'abord, pas chacun ici est amricain. En second lieu, maintenant vous ressemblez un fils de putain, mais non mr qui ne savent pas quand fermer ta bouche et lorsque t'asseoir.

"This is an international board. Post in english or dont post."

Isn't that a somewhat contradictory statement?

For Komisar, mouss' last post:

"For anyone who's not happy, one thing: stick an iPod up your arse, and if that does nothing for you, try a dual G5.

Thanks to anyone who can translate this into english since me and hamburgers (americans) don't get on."

Interesting how mouss assumes we're all American. o_O

I'm Canadian... and I still think he's a moron for posting someone elses work as his own. I guess the minute you point out that people are stealing, they are allowed to get all pissed off... like they have a right. Amazing world we live in.

I'm waiting for mouss to actually post something that is his own creation... it'll be a longer wait than Omega. ^_^

Ah ah ah !mouss, ecoute, je crois que tu dois tre bien jeune pour te comporter comme ca, ... Tu aimerais-si tu etais un artiste que quelqu'un te vole tes creations et qu'il les signe de sa main ? Ah ah ah! mouss, listen, I think you are very young to behave you like that, ... Would you like, if you were an artist, that someone steal your creations, and sign them with his hands ? No one will like that, ... So, instead of insulting people throwing insanities, go do your homeworks, I see that your orthograph is pretty approximative

By the way, for english spoken, sorry for my bad english, ....

The other thread has no picture of monsieur mouss's, so has anyone downloaded them and compared them pixel for pixel with the other iMac icons? Not trying to defend him, but would like evidence.

I'm English so should hate him, but that's just silly; however, if he has stolen them it is inexcusable and should he be banned or something.

Ironic if he is French, a culture rich in original artistic and intellectual work - he should be ashamed for letting his country down.

Im sorry..to say this! ..But are the "icons" you all talk about, not just pictures taken from from the Apple/imac website , and made in to a icon ?

So what is all the fuzz about ?..Who made the pictures in to icons first..is that it ??

Sometimes life ain't that easy M'Kay...
The question would be - correct me if I'm wrong - who was the first to say :

"Hey, I've borrowed (well, stolen actually) some pictures from the Apple website and turned them into icons. Since I thought no one would notice, I went along and called them my own."

You can just compare mine and the one he packaged, they're the same. It is not based on any Apple photograph, and uses my own specific angle I use for most of my icon work. I sent the staff at Resexellence, as requested, proof - which was the full size export of my save (over double the size). It was proof enough that they removed the file because of the rip.
