Is anyone having problems with the extension manager under OS9? When I try to open it up, while it is updating the items, it crashes with a Type 1 error.

I probably have almost 300 extensions, control panels and startup/shutdown items it is updating when it crashes.

Any thoughts?

I was having the same problem under 8.6 and it hasn't gone away with 9. The crash doesn't occur, however, if you access the extensions manager by restarting and holding down the space bar. Guess that makes an extension conflict likely, but if that's the only way it manifests itself, I'm not sure I want to give up whatever's causing it!

sounds like you may need to allocate more memory to the extension manager

it's an idea, it may work...

That did it! I didn't realize that you could allocate more memory to the extension manager! Thanks!

Under MacOS 9 control Panels use their own memory partition,
that's how you can allocate more memory to it..
