I just thought I'd put it out there that I'm graduating from college (Boston University with a BA in Psychology) this weekend.

I'm also relocating to Nashville, TN as I've got a research assistant job at Vanderbilt.

Any suggestions as to interesting things to do in Nashville (e.g., good food or just generally cool stuff).

Don't try to outweird me, I get stranger things than you free with my breakfast cereal.

Congrats. Don't know Nashville tho. We could make this the official thread tho. I'm graduating with my MFA in Advertising and moving to Austin, TX. No job- YET. So all y'all help us grads. Or at least the OP, cuz it's his thread.

I'm hugely lucky, as I've got a job and apartment all lined up in Nashville.

I'd say it qualifies as interesting in the fairly broad sense of the word - I grew up and went to university in the northeast; Nashville is going to be an interesting change (in ways which are likely to be both deeply engaging and hugely infuriating). I'm looking forward to it, while at the same time having a certain amount of trepidation.

It helps when you've got three years of research experience as an undergrad, on top of four years of research internships and a specialty in vision, visual attention and psychophysics.

Wow, Boston to Nashville. I imagine that's going to be quite a change. I wonder if there's any bars in Nashville that serve Old Rasputin. If not, I recommend you spend some quality time at The Lower Depths before you leave. On the plus side, I'm sure you can get much better fried chicken in Nashville than Kenmore (even now that there's a Popeyes!).

I've got an ex in Nashville. She's an "interesting thing to do" and you'll definitely use your psych degree when dealing with her. PM me if you're into petite crazy Italian girls.

Shame, because that would be an awesome skill.

Congratulations. I could hardly wait to graduate - was getting tired of college life and wanted to get into the real world. So far I'm pretty happy. Good luck to you.
