so I sold the macbook and am now on my way to a new iMac. Since I haven't had anything other than laptops in my house for a few years, I'm a little out of the loop when it comes to good mice. I want something with a few buttons (aside from the usual left/right click and scroll wheel) on it that I will be able to customize to do different things. maybe application switching/expose/whatever. Another important part of what I want would definitely be how comfy the mice feels in my hand, and to a lesser degree I want something wireless. I was looking around on cnet for something, but they didn't have much info on how well I can customize what buttons on the mice they review., so I'm hoping you guys might know something they don't.

The Mighty Mouse that comes with the iMac has four button-equivalents that are somewhat customizable.

I went to a local Mac shop and had a look at various mice. I ended up picking the mighty mouse, even though I wanted to buy something else. But all those Logitech mice & co. were looking like they had some sort of disease: lots of buttons and bumps, etc.

Logitech optical Trackman. Better than your usual trackball since it's more ergonomic. I use them at work and at home.

The wireless Mighty Mouse was the top choice on my list, but ultimately I ended up with the Rocketfish Bluetooth mouse which has all the same functions as the Mighty Mouse except it doesn't have the side buttons, and has a lower price tag. No installation is required either, just turn it on and it automatically pairs with your Mac because it is designed for use with Macs.

Microsoft Laser Mouse 6000... best wired mouse EVER.

For wireless, the 8000 looks pretty good.
