1) Is there a way to tell what program the person used to hack the iphone?
2) How can I rehack - so that I can just have jailbreak instead of whatever they hacked it with?

I bought the phone pre-hacked on ebay.. it has worked great so far but I want to be able to use some of the features (themes and apps) that you can use with jailbreak

is the first gen iphone, it says the modem firmware is 04.04.05_G, the version is 1.1.4 (4A102)
is that what you needed?

I had 1.0.2 on my iPhone 1G (2G?). I used QuickPwn 2.1 to update to 2.1 without issue. I did not have to virginize, or do anything like that. QuickPwn did it all.

You start with an iPhone restore, then let QuickPwn do the rest. Google will tell you where to get all the files you need.
