Workers at a Foxconn factory in Brazil are on strike, potentially affecting shipments of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. The strike, by 3,700 workers at the largest factory under Foxconn control in South America, originally started on September 11 and is still underway, and it appears the worker-led disruption will continue for some time.

Speaking to the Metalworking Industries Union in São Paulo, ZDNet reports that the workers want a new framework to be implemented over roles and salaries at the facility. Salaries have not improved for the workers since 2012, and though the company has apparently offered to present an organizational structure plan within two weeks and implementation one month later, the workers have rejected the proposal.

The employees need the structure so that they "know what are the options in terms of career progression," claims worker union head Evandro Santos, adding "People are just stagnant here. We want workers to be recognized for the work they do and treated with respect, and we don't see that happening here."

Worker unrest at the factory has been a frequent problem for Foxconn. In 2012, a strike was threatened over "severe" issues including poor-quality food, water shortages, and overcrowding, while workers downed tools in February last year over the same issues as the current strike.

3,7000. I don't know what that means, or how to say it, but that's how many.

1,000 = One Thousand
1,000,000 = One Million
1,0000 = One Brazillion

It's 3.7 Brazillion workers.
