I am installing Ubuntu Linux 8.10 on my Dell Mini 9 and I have a Lexmark X4550 printer setup wirelessly. Is there a way to print from Linux to the printer through my Mac? There are no drivers for Linux for this printer.

Have you checked for a CUPS driver? There seem to be CUPS drivers for almost everything.

http://avahi.org/

I haven't played with it, but it supports service discovery similar to Bonjour in OS X. I would see if it is already installed by Ubuntu, and if it isn't install it yourself (sudo apt-get install avahi or search for it in Synaptic). Then, once you have shared the printer on the OS X side (which you can do in your System Preferences), as long as you aren't blocking the relevant ports with your firewall, the printer may appear as a print option in Ubuntu.

Like I said, I haven't tried this, but this is how I would proceed...

Thanks, Ubuntu has Avahi installed by default and I just added my printer as a network printer and it worked perfectly.
