is there a way to do this, either with an automator workflow, or an applescript?

i have a file, that, every time i modify it, it loses the icon i pasted on it (in the Get Info window).
wondering if a script could be activated (by me, of course), to copy the icon another file and paste it onto this file...instead of me opening folders, finding the item, then copying the icon from one file and pasting it on the other...a lot of redundant steps...

thanx!

nevermind, figured out something much better...i have img2icns; so i converted the image to a tiff, then converted THAT to icns. replaced the default doc icns file in the apps package resources, and the icon is retained when i change the document!

(i love solving my own challenges)...
