NEW iPhoto and Ideas on Version 6

My iPhoto library has over 10,000 photos. I realize this may be a lot to some and a little to others.
My question (for all to ponder) is: what can be done to improve iPhoto?
I've seen a growing lag time with each 1,000 photo's i add. In a few years, i'm sure i'll hit the 20,000 30,000 and probably 100,000 marker. it scares me.
What new innovative way of displaying one's photo's has yet to be created? One that allows a user to see all the photo's, but in an organized way, which is fast.
I wonder where iPhoto 6 or 7 will take us.
Any thoughts?

I think we are all going to have to tag our photos  When i have time i like to add comments to them all, allowing me to use spotlight to find who/what is in each one
|

Have you tried iView Pro This a really effecient application and can handle tons of photos and not bog down. Additionally you have the flexability of deciding the management of the photos. This app gives you more freedom then iPhoto.
I've found iPhoto nice but its managing the photo library to constrictive and slow. Plus iView is a better use of hard drive space. iPhoto keeps multiple copies of each photo so when you have 10k that's a lot of space.
