Sure about that? Shouldn’t it say “Status” in the far left column? And that “Send PM” image is from the old theme, not the new one.

(Also: whoever knew there was a “Show groups” function?)

In fact—seizing the opportunity to use this thread as a kind of ‘fix it’ thread, these little bugs seem to have crept in today after the new theme was ‘reintroduced’:
- Posting time (“Today, 03:49 PM”) has been moved below the post, instead of above.
- The space after “Join Date:” and “Location:” (but not “Status:”) in the left column has disappeared.

You probably know this, but just thought I’d point it out in case it had escaped your eye

In case no search results were found, it was just going back to the search page. But now you would see a proper message like
"
The following errors occurred with your search:

1. Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms. "

when redirected to the search results page.

I can't find the http://forums.macnn.com/showgroups.php page anywhere in the menus at the top or at the bottom of the forum. How are we supposed to get there without using this link? I'm sure it used to be at the bottom and said 'show forum leaders'.

I found a error of some sort:

Safari can’t open the page.
Safari can’t open the page “http://forums.macnn.com/89/macnn-lou...-profile/7/”. The error was: “bad server response” (NSURLErrorDomain:-1011) Please choose Report Bugs to Apple from the Safari menu, note the error number, and describe what you did before you saw this message.

EDIT: I also noticed that some threads that I replied to and then viewed the latest post show up as unviewed when I return to the forum they are in.

Some loading time optimization would be good. Not bad when it's cached, but when viewing the page for the first time after a while, it's one of the slower pages I visit. Even those that are more ad heavy. HTTP compression and making sure all the pngs are as small as they can be would be a start.

In the user CP the threads listed in "New Subscribed Threads" still link to the first post in the thread rather than to the first new post in that thread.

It's strange because in the "Subscribed Forum List" the "Last Post" URLs have the "/new-post/" suffix so you are directed to the first new post.

Compared to time.apple.com it's behind by about two minutes.

Not that it's really important, but I'm guessing fixing it would be really easy.

The [CODE] tag was reported busted. For code tag we have to use tag [codex].
For all tags check the vB code list

We know about the temporary CODEx tag. We wanted the regular one fixed, so existing posts will look right again. Also, it is more intuitive to use [CODE] like other boards rather than make up our own custom tags to confuse people.

This is getting frustrating, every day there seems to be more problems. People changing production code that is causing outages, and weird behavior. For a good part of sunday I kept getting database errors now everytime I turn around something is acting wonky, like the quick reply text box.

You guys should rethink how you apply code changes because you're clearly not testing anything out.

its very unintuitive.
I liked the banner added to the top of the image, made it obvious it could be expanded.

Yes, I agree. Also, the way it expands is reminiscent of a pop-up ad. It overtakes the area it is in without regard to the surrounding content.

Not completely, it still looks like the "resized image, click for original" text is apart of the post.

I've put the bar back to what I recall it looking like. If it's a bit off and you have a screenshot of it or something, let me know. It's jutting out a tad on the right hand side of the image, but that'll be fixed.

The colour’s far off (I believe the original was close to the colour used in the regular buttons, but with some darker blue in it? Definitely not turquoise neon blue, at least). Other than that, it’s nice to see it back.

This is a really light blue, not turquoise neon blue ... I recall the background being extremely light colored. I don't think this is *that* far off -- I don't think it should be dark blue, in any case.

No?
