Did you forget the part about me showing you how it was two different situations, and how I wasn't complaining about JUST ad-hominems?

That is why I told you to read the rest of the post you didn't quote. Obviously on purpose.

You are also being pendantic by insisting people respond and act the way you want them to. Constantly.

Yet you don't see this why?

It seems that my post yesterday didn't come across the way I intended it to. I thought I was being humorous with suggesting that Cody, of all people, could be a pet bigot, but on reflection I see that the rest of my post messed that up pretty badly.

I'm sorry, Cody, if I hurt your feelings. I seriously did not mean to do that.

I still say that all the bad things attributed to domestic cats are not because they are cats, but because most of the time people who keep cats don't do so intelligently or well.

Don't know if you're joshing, but I wasn't looking to reinvent myself with this move.

Gads. I might make a 'home' account at some point. I was thinking along the lines of The Car

Edit: This has always been my downfall -- making 3000 variations of something and the inability to find a clear-cut favorite.

I don't know, just not a fan of it...no offense.

As for the nick, it comes up as "dakara" when viewing your 'NN profile, so I'll just call you that from here on out.

At least you can own a non-shedding dog.

My biggest gripe is people who let their animals - dogs or cats - run around loose and it seems that cat owners do that routinely. Even PETA says that cats should be kept in a home or under control so that they don't die from getting hit or catching a disease. My city/county has a cat leash law that I think is great.
You're full of it, Dawg. We have two gorgeous cats and suffer absolutely no malodorous effect. It's all in knowing what you're doing I suppose.

I've not bothered to read much of this thread, but how a dog owner can cast such an aspersion with straight face is beyond me. Did you have a straight face?

I live north of Toronto BTW. Any MacNNer who wants to bear witness for me is cordially invited over for beer/wine/cat talk ... or better yet we can talk hockey

No biggie. Its not like you need to be a fan of someone's real in name in real life.

My grandmother has a Nextel. The only thing more annoying than her Nextel direct connect going off is her bird mimicking it every 3 seconds.

Birds are NOT cuddly either.

Only liberals own birds. In fact, a man and his pet bird are basically liberalism writ large.

They all want to live soulless lives in depressing little cages, being taken care of for free by the government, and squawking with joy as they defile themselves over a liberal newspaper.

Acknowledged. Never make a sound in front of a parrot that you don't want to hear endlessly! Mine makes fart sounds, belches, says "bleccch" and "barf!", but also says cute things like "hi" and "I love you". There's something about a talking pet that is so unique.

However, some birds are cuddly. Cockatoos are probably the most. They are little love sponges. You would not believe how soft their feathers are!

I'm a bird. I am the 1% (of pets).
