Ya you are right you G4 dual 500 should have PC 100 but it will also work with PC 133, it is backwards compatable, IE the ram will just slow down, This is the same as throwing in a IDE ata100 Hard drive in to your comp with a bus speed with only 66mhz, it will just run slower, than it can. you should be thaking the apple seller he gave you more expensiv faster ram that you can put in to those new dual 733 that will be coming out very soon.

I've got a Gig of PC133 RAM in my DP500. It seems stable to me, passed the firmware update with flying colors too. PC133 works and is cheaper than PC100 which is not in as wide production anymore.

Most PC133 DDIMMs will run just fine, machine doesn't care a whit. There is one possible issue though, buffering. Some PC systems require buffered memory and those DIMMs will not work in a G4, so if anyone wants to go out and buy it, make sure the vendor is reputable and guarantees Apple compatibility.

Ditto with AirSluf.
DP500@550/275
1GB RAM, 3-PC100-256, 1-PC133-256, all from Mem2Go.
Very stable and fast.
Updater ran fine.
