We are looking for a nice 'slip-case' for a soon-to-arrive iBook. I've had a hard time finding anything nice.

Could you please provide some links to some nice iBook 'slip-cases'?

tnx guys/gals

I think I answered my own question. I found the 'Waterfield Designs' web site. Their stuff looks pretty slick. I'll probably go with one of their products.

This has been discussed in depth in the past. Look through old messages. I got the MarWare SportFolio II and I love it. Take a look
here for more info on this awesome case. It's affordable too.

I just got the MacCase sleeve for my iBook. I was looking for a sleeve only that was well padded for sliding in my school backpack. This is it!!!! I love it. No frills, no options, just well made and well padded.

Nice -- too bad the cost to ship it to Canada is more than the cost of the sleeve!

I love my West Ridge Designs IceBook sleeve. It's vertical, with a handle and a port so you can charge up while the 'book is still in the sleeve. Slides in my backpack real easy.

my sfbags slipcase arrived before my ibook even did! but now that i've had both for 3 months i'd have to say the sfbags/waterfield design bags are top notch. i would highly recommend them. i can't speak for the other bags, but usually if people are taking the time to recommend something, then that product ususally is good.

I personally like all the mac-centric products that sfbags makes, the fact that they are a small US based company, with very friendly staff/owner makes it all the better.

mike one,

Even before your post, I had pretty much decided to go with the Waterfield cases. I looked at all the products everyone here suggested, but Waterfield came on top in the end. I like their overall design sensibility and the Mac focus of their products. Plus, I think that yellow-black 'Taxi' pattern is killer.

I'll probably get one of the combo specials they are offering, the one with the VertiGo and slipcase, me'thinks.

I'll second the kudos on buying Waterfield products...fantastic US-made products, excellent customer service, Mac-centric focus. I have the Cargo SuiteSpot for my iBook and gear, and I should receive my Super Dooper iPod case today. You get what you pay for!

Another vote for the MarWare Sportfolio II!
Service was excellent and the product is very high quality.

I use the slipcase inside my school bag or by itself when that's the only thing I carry.

I've mentioned this in other posts so won't go into any detail but:

The sleeves designed by Timbuk2 are fabulous quality and look the business. They are designed specifically to fit the iBook 12", iBook 14", and Titanium PowerBook. Go check out their web page and have fun with the ultra-cool "bag builder".

Well I haven't seen the other sleeves firsthand, but the Willow bags do kick ass!!! For the 12in the designer of the company came to my store and took measurements of the ibook to make a nice fit in the slip case. It's vertical and is very, very, very sturdy. The other targus cases i saw were a laugh and a half. Go for Willow.

Love my new waterfield slip case; I got mine with the flap. My only complaint is the funny smell of the material used. Other than that, the cost of shipping to Canada is as much as the bag itself. But still worth every dime!

INCASE does a great job... if you're looking for a thin but protective sleeve, it's a must see... otherwise, check something else..
