Just go easy on the formatting.

Bold is for emphasis.

If you're the type who pounds his fist on the table every time you say something, I suppose it's appropriate.

If you use bold/underline/italic/colored fonts/huge fonts on a consistent basis, you will quickly become public enemy numero uno here.

White font, on the other hand, is okay.
