Why won't burned Cds mount on my desktop? I've successfully made audio CDs, and data CD-RW will show up if inserted in CD-RW drive but not in internal drive.
imac rev B, OS 9.1. Toast 4.1.2 and Zip 650 CD-RW. Any ideas appreciated.

Not all CD drives can read CDRW media. It's not as reflective (to the laser) as regular CDs or even CDRs. Apparently the rev b. iMacs can't read CDRWs.

I have a Rev B at work however which happily reads them!!
Firmware or extension issue?

I have an idea: if you're burning to the CD-RW drive with software such as DirectCD or other software (particularly packet writing) that leaves the session open, it basically leaves the disc unusable in a regular CD drive until you close the session. I would suggest looking into this if you're using this type of software.
