localhost:5901 works 10.0.1.2:5901 does not

	For the longest time i have been running a vnc server on my machine. my router and software firewal have port forwarded 5901 to this computer. - and it has worked. all of a sudden i cannot access the vnc server anymore. the program is still running and i can see if through teh localhost address. whenever i try it through the ip address, public and private, it fails to see the vnc server. what gives?
