Hi. I have a Canon i9900 printer which I have been using with USB and it has worked fine. When I use a Firewire cable, however, it says, "The printer does not respond. Please make sure it is properly plugged in," etc. System profiler sees the printer, the cable works fine on my Firewire harddrive, why would this be happening? I've restarted, plugged in, turned off, turned on, etc. Do I need to install a driver or firmware or something?

Please assist.

Thanks.

Your old one is looking for a printer connected to USB and can't find one because you plugged it in via FireWire. Have you created another printer that was connected via Firewire?
I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.
