I'm a dj and have a mixer and turntables.

I also have G4 (quicksilver) tower which i have connected a regular mini/headphone out to left/right rca stereo cable.

This is going into my dj mixer (it's a new rane mixer) and master outputing to two powered monitors.

So why am i getting so much static?
i figure it must be the mini jack out of my G4 or the mini to rca cable.
i'm very sure it's not the mixer or the speakers themselves.
Any help would be great.
thanks.

buy non lubricating electronics cleaner and clean out the inside of the jack on the computer. Maybe its some dirt or residu on the contacts inside
