VMware Fusion 2 or Parallels Desktop 4.0 for Mac? Or another software for getting Windows on a Mac? It's almost 2010, is there anything new to get or wait for?

I use VmWare Fusion 2.0 on 3 OS X 10.5 machines - One with XP, one with Vista, and one with XP Pro;

I have had no issues at all since I started using it, and overall, find it a compelling option compared to my less than favorable experience with Parallels a little while ago.

I use VMWare Fusion 2 when I don't want to shut down and boot into Windows XP. And so far I haven't had any problems with it.

Check out VirtualBox if you aren't interested in paying money for the pleasure of running Windows

Does VMWare Fusion 2 allow integration with an existing Windows XP OS that I already partitioned using Boot Camp? Or do I have to install Windows again?

It integrates. Fusion can run it from your Boot Camp partition.

Sick! Thanks for the quick response. Does it work with newer games like Dead Space and Wolfenstein? And do you think it will eliminate the black screen of death problems I'm having with XP in Boot Camp (as detailed in my thread I just made on here)?

None of the virtualization solutions (e.g. Parallels, VMWare Fusion, or VirtualBox) allow playing newer games. Black Screen of Death? WTF you talking about/ I play games in Windows Xp (recently "upgraded" to Vista) with no problems... Are your video drivers current?

Wow, it looks like you're not willing to have any help outside your stove-piped threads. It was a simple question, you could've at least linked to your other thread rather than snap at me. So be it, I will stop my research and play my games which work perfectly...

I only snapped at you because you were implying I was an idiot for even mentioning the black screen. I desire help from friendly, informative people, but I will also accept help from raged people like yourself. ^_^

So please reconsider helping me. I only snapped at you because I thought you were snapping at me. And by the way, my video drivers ARE up to date (186.61 or whatever it is). I even checked in my nVidia control panel.

I wasn't implying you were an idiot...it's not your fault Windows sucks. And I'm rarely enraged. I haven't heard of the problem you mentioned and was curious what you were talking about.
