How many songs do you have, How many days/hours/minutes are they, how many Albums (meaning 2 disc albums count as one), what format are they in, and how much space do they take up?
I used ripped my mom's entire CD collection which is as bigger then mine (around 170 CD's) and it is as of now (still have 30+ CD's to import that either don't have ID3 tags (can't read the case), are need double checking (Mozart set). As of right now Her colleciton weighs in at - 2.027 Songs
- 5 Days, 15 Hours, 30 Minutes and 46 Seconds
- 41.76GB
- Apple Lossless
Will be 50GB once I complex the import of all Music and should total as high as 2,400 songs and 7 days. I will be redoing my colleciton again (redid it in September when I got my G4 MDD) and this will be my last time I hope before I go RAW AIFF. Will tell you my info next week.
Now what are your specs?

As of March 13, 2004:
It's more than that now, and my MP3 drive is full as of last week. All downloaded except for maybe 20-30 as part of mix challenges I've uploaded onto Usenet and kept local copies of.
CD count sits around 800 individual discs (doubles = 2, since I'm counting physical discs), I haven't counted in a while.
Many LPs, and around 60 7" singles.

I've only got a 30GB drive in this iBook, so hey
Some day I'll have a big enough internal drive to rip all of my CDs and move my other songs off my external drives.

6272 songs, about 18 days worth. Mostly 192-160kb/s MP3.
About a 40:60 split between bought and downloaded but I'm trying to buy the albums for those that are worth my hard earned pennies.

Most ripped at 256kbps AAC, rest 128-256kbps MP3.
Out of curiosity, what sort of size are the Apple Lossless files? Say a 3 minute song?

All I know is that I converted a 9 minute Tool song that was originally 192kbps MP3 and 12.6MBs to Lossless and it came out at over 800kbps and 52MBs.

My small Library...
only songs I really like (no songs below 3 stars) cause my iBook has a small HD
545 songs, 1.4 days, 2.69 GB
More or less 1.22 G (237 songs) of stolen MP3s (I always try to DL 192 KBPS MP3 or ++... rarely 160 or 128)
Rest is legit ripped from CD (160 KBPS AAC mostly) and songs bought from iTMS (11 songs to be precise)
