Yep. I feel pretty much the same. Despite all the nasty bugs, I was actually stunned it ran faster than I could recall. Probably a result of having a little faster hardware (450 to 600 Mhz cpu, but otherwise close to identical) and fresh install with nothing major installed. It was some serious exciting days when 10.0 finally shipped back then.
Other things I noticed was that Apple obviously gave up the docklings and moved the features into menu items instead. Many interesting details.
