My company is looking for a few qualified Macintosh experts interested in part-time work. We are a growing technology consulting firm in the Los Angeles area, and have the need for some Field Consultants capable of troubleshooting, installing software and hardware and offering occasional tutorials.
Qualified candidates must have an extensive grasp of, and an undying love for, the Macintosh platform. At minimum we expect aptitude in OS 8.x through 9, MS Office, FileMaker Pro and Retrospect. (Wintel experience is a plus but absolutely not necessary.) We appreciate professional self-starters, individuals who are eager to tackle new challenges and see a job through to completion. Applicants must also be located in the greater L.A. area and provide their own transportation. Compensation is generous and the schedule is flexible -- potential Field Consultants need only commit a few hours per week of availability.
We request that anyone interested please send an e-mail to [email protected] with a resume in MS Word or PDF format attached.

Thanks!

I think if you also post this on the other two great mac forums (MacFixit and NoWonder) a long with this one, you might get more responses as you'll have as much larger pool to access. And the NoWonder forum is a California based forum.
Here are their URLs: http://www.macfixit.com and http://mb.nowonder.com/cgi-bin/ultimate/Ultimate.cgi
You might also try the CVMUG forum at http://www.cvmug.org/cgi-bin/cgiwrap/cvmug/Ultimate.cgi which is a Ventura county forum based in Ventura.

Thanks Barney for the great leads! I really appreciate it and plan to follow your advice.

I figured I'd start in the places that I personally frequent, and then go wider. I didn't want to get TOO many responses in the early stages of interviewing.

Thanks for the helpful comments!
