Can anybody tell me if i can connect a Zip drive (SCSI) to a Powerbook 150, with system 7.5???

Be sure to download/install the correct Iomega drivers, but a SCSI Zip should work fine with a PowerBook 150.

I thought I was the only person who had a 150... what do you still use your for?

You can, but make sure that termination is ON when you hook it up. Mine was an early model, and the termination was labelled backwards, but I've got it to work with a PB 100 and a 165 and 180.

The 150 was the only 68030 powerbook with a built-in floppy that used the larger RAM modules of the Duo (up to 40M total!!!) and I think it had an IDE hard drive. The RAM thing is enough to make it still viable (although slow with 7.5), but the IDE thing, if true, would be a boon! That way, you could get a cheapo IDE drive for it and load it up with 1G or more for almost nothing.

the major problem with the 150 is that you have to format the drive with Apple's version of drive setup for the PowerBook 150 (it's called PowerBook 150 drive setup or something like that). I remember a while back people complaining that that version of the software didn't like a lot of newer drives.

The 150 is a solid and stable system, and it's served me (origionally) and my family (now) very well. I would have liked an Active Matrix PowerBook 170 display however...
