Looks like Google has sense of humor. Type in "New York, NY to Paris, France" into Google Maps. "Swim across the Atlantic Ocean."

I thought this was interesting: I changed the start and stop to Dover, Delaware and London, England. The neat part? The system chose a more direct path for me to swim across the ocean. What thoughtful folks!

Hrm? The swim across the ocean always starts at Long Wharf in Massachusetts and ends near Le Havre, France.

I meant a more direct route from Dover to London. They didn't default to one specific Northeast swim start, but actually used some logic about it.
