From 4k to 0.5 K allocation blocks in HFS+

I have my hard drive initialized as HFS + with 4k allocation blocks. Is there an easier way to get this to the tiny 0.5 K allocation blocks without re-initializing?

Re-initialize you must, I'm afraid.

Alsoft's Plus Maker takes you to 4k blocks, simply, quickly, without initializing. Have used it several
times - works beautifully.
Alsoft's Plus Maximizer takes you to .05k blocks - have not used it, so can't give an opinion.

don't forget that if your allocation blocks are eight times smaller, your desktop database will be eight times larger, file access will most likely be slower, and fragmentation worse.
