are those similar to web site "breadcrumbs" under the icons...showing where you are?

Very sharp indeed! But actually harder to make out what the icons are. The pictures icon in particular is pretty vague...
Anyone care to hazard a guess as to the function of the 2 dots and greyed-out cross at the bottom of the windows?

This looks similar to Path Finder aka. SNAX. Either Apple totally ripped its UI or this is just a hoax.
edit: Well, it did look like Path Finder the first time I looked at it, but it doesn't really anymore. I could have sworn I saw the path boxes ala Path Finder below the toolbar. Oh well, it's getting late, I don't know. It looks interesting now. I like it.
edit2: Hah! My gut instinct was right.

I'm not sure if this is legit or not because the "Finder" is actually "PathFinder". I think somebody decided to get cute and claimed to "leak" this.
This is PathFinder with Max's Brushed theme and RAD.E8's Snow E.2 icons.
I have PathFinder, Brushed, and Snow E.2 icons. It looks fake to me.

I use Path Finder instead of Apple's Finder, and like it a lot.
If Apple decided to buy it from CocoaTech, I think that'd be great

The evidence presented would lead me to believe that it's fake.

Yup, for sure it's path finder, hahahaha, because if that is real, then that will only mean... I'm using 10.3 right now! Muhahahahaha!

If the Finder comes in Brushed Metal( ) in Panter, Steve Jobs should hire some more bodyguards... that's for sure! And I'm not making threats here, just stating facts...

Marook I heard the SAME rant from people in the PB days about Aqua.
I would welcome it, better than Aqua any day. More professional. IMHO of course.

Apparently, somewhat more than you, judging from that comment.
Seriously, is it necessary to start a flame war in here?

So grab one of the 15+ themes and a theme changer and change it. I haven't seen Aqua for a year at least.
First I used the Sosumi theme, then I used Milk, now I'm on Watercolor. Heh.

Screen shots of PathFinder, not 10.3.
The "leak" is a hoax.

Again all these mockups looks like crap. And I have always hated the look of PathFinder and spotted it immediately in the original picture. If Apple were to give to us PathFinder as the Finder in 10.3 I would seriously have to call APple and start making threatening phone calls. The lack of attention to detail in PathFinder is astounding. Even more so the lack of features that the finder already has is even more annoying since if the finder natively does something, and this product is allegedly better, why not add it as well.
What really pisses me off aout it though is its claims of superiority over the Finder when I have yet to see it be anything but look like ass and perform mediocre allt he functions it provides, I would much rather do through a terminal or better yet a custom written applescript bound to a key.
As to the fakeness of this image, you should have realized it was fake when the image provided no visual cue as to anything different other than Brushed Metal, which for a Carbon app that started out as standard Aqua would be quite a feat. Lastly many of the new UI metaphors that were rumored aren't in, and the default toolbar is not there since Find is missing.

This one isn't so bad. Are you using Windows theme with beta copy of MacOS X 10.3 Panther? If you are kind enough, could you send me a copy of that Windows theme and 10.3 beta? I'd appreciate it, thanks.

No, thats actualy a screenshot of Windows, its an operating system made by a software company called Microsoft.
This may be an indication of what we to expect with OS10.4 "Mogwai".

The link no longer works. Brings up this address instead: -www.web1000search.com-

They were probably removed by Apple Legal because they were legit. But anyway, who cares if it wasn't because the Finder sucks ass anyway and most likely will continue to eat ass in Panther. Why does Apple even produce Finder if it can't get it right.
Do us a favor Apple, take the Finder and throw it in the trash, replace it with Terminal. Mac OS X just improved 500%.

they did this.. on booting, hold down command-option-s.. no gui to slow you down hehe.. you'll have to manually mount your partitions but meh..
ooo, or you could just login as ">console" at the login screen.. think that still works

Stupid post. Heh. Kinda funny though The ease-of-use company goes command line. I'm sure that would go over real well.
