Get a 512MB stick of RAM and get Panther. Period.

512MB and 10.3 will work great. I have a rev. A 233Mhz iMac, 256MB ram, and it runs 10.3 fine....

I'm not trying to be insulting, but gack! I hate having to use OS 9 now. I was invited to a friend's parent's house for a day-after-thanksgiving-type party and his mother's computer (she does DTP for a local synagogue) was (still) running OS 9. Seemed so alien to me! I've been using OS X virtually exclusively since 10.0, and none of my computers even have Classic installed on them any longer.

Sorry for the long-windedness. My vote is for Panther as well.
