Hey Guys,

If I were to run a nightly cronjob that deleted files over a certain age within a Time Machine backup, would this really upset TM, or would it figure out that the files are gone and adjust its database accordingly?

Typically I wouldn't recommend partitioning on current computers. However, in your case I'd partition the drive and give Time Machine it's own partition and keep the second partition for other docs.
