So I was given a 1TB capsule a while back because it was totally dead when connected to AC. I had planned to pull the drive and junk it but after stripping it down I noticed it just needed a couple of new caps in the PSU. I replaced them and it works just fine again.

It does however get rather hot. Even when it isn't doing much. I'd like to do something to help keep it cool. I'd prefer to keep it neat looking if possible and self contained so no external USB fans.

I'm pondering making a vent under the lip along the back. Any other ideas?
I have plenty of more important things to do, if only I could bring myself to do them....

My default in those cases is to place whatever is running hot on two erasers to give it some airflow underneath as well. If that doesn't work, well... start by figuring out what part of it gets hot.
The new Mac Pro has up to 30 MB of cache inside the processor itself. That's more than the HD in my first Mac. Somehow I'm still running out of space.
