wow, you're new, but still, more thand a day and ya haven't heard of themes? look around here, there are thousands of posts covering theming X, started back in beta. i like the program duality, and i've had fun with all the available themes for it. for other things, like killing shadows and stuff, there are apps (search haxie on versiontracker.com and look up tinker tool)
