I did an archive and install back at the beginning of August and just now noticed that I have a folder called "Previous Systems" in my Macintosh HD folder which is taking up almost 10GB, was wondering whether it's ok to delete it or would it break my system somehow?

It's safe to delete the folder in almost all cases. There's nothing active in the folder, so the worst that can happen is that eventually you figure out some software isn't installed and you'll have to reinstall it.

Same here, thanks for reminding me, jamiemcf. I forgot about its existence, and have liberated some space. Mind you, I have used pretty much all my apps, so I know everyrthing is working.

If you are not missing anything after a couple of weeks of normal use, delete it. It shouldn't have contained anything from your User folder anyway. Always interesting to see 155,000 tiny little Unix files disappear!
