I've been having this problem for quite a few days now. No matter what I do, it's always like this: Finder uses uses up 266.8MB of my RAM (I have a total of 320MB). It's not my extensions. I only have a little bit of extensions, and I tried restarting witht eh base set of extensions for OS 9 and the problem still exists. Something made finder take up all that memory.... I tried a clean reinstall and it didn't do the trick neither.

a note: Have you guys try downloading the os 9.1 updater from apple's website recently? Whenever I try to install it, the whole installer says that it's missing components and can't install the rest of the system software.

Any help, suggestions please? I really don't want to do another backup...

I put a V-TECH sticker on my iMac DV 400 and i'm burnin' Geo Metro's left and right.

I already have turbomem... I think that prog caused the problem. What I mean was that the Finder is taking up too much memory than it's supposed too.... 263MB is too much, it usually takes up 67MB. Thanks for your suggestion anyway.
