My PowerBook audio balance keeps drifting to the left.
I can't be sure how quickly, but about once a month it is noticeable enough -- I'm using peripheral speakers -- for me to go into preferences and center it.
Is there a fix for this problem or do I just have to keep correcting it manually?

Seems to be a ton on google about this. Wasn't there a class action lawsuit going or something of that sort?

It happened to a few people as well, myself included. I don't know what causes it. It seems to be less frequent with 10.4.x.

My iBook used to do that, and I haven't noticed it since 10.4.5

My PB 12" used to do that too but I think since Tiger, like say 10.4.2 or something it hasn't been doing it at all.
It was damned annoying though.

With my old powerbook, it would continually do that at random intervals. Good luck finding a solution...I don't think there are any (or apple would have supplied us with an update patch).
