Yup, you heard right.

Omniweb-style thumbnail tabs in safari, for free! Not quite perfect yet (thumbnails get cropped strangely), but it's looking very promising. The functionality is definitely there.

ETA: Safari 2.0.1+ only.

English documentation is not available yet. But User Interface is almost English.
Hil-ar-i-ous!

Seriously though, with this and PithHelmet loaded, Safari is pretty amazing. I still love Firefox on my Windows and Linux machines, but until I can scroll horizontally using my trackpad, it's just not as good as Safari on my Mac.

This is actually well implemented...

I still prefer to use standard tabs but this is a lot more comfortable to use than OmniWeb's tabs. I'm going to leave it installed cause it got some cool misc features such as bookmark divider, switch tab with scrollwheel, colorize/editable HTML source, download window auto close delay,

"Arrange Tabs..."

Action Menu

"Scale To Fit"

There are some more neat features. Give it a check.

As a long time OmniWeb user who can't stand "normal" tabs, I have to say that this is going to make using Safari a lot more bearable whenever I have to. Some things are very nice, like being able to double click a blank area in the sidebar to add a tab, but others are not so good - the tab doesn't provide enough visual feedback (either to distinguish tabs from the same site, or to see some sites at all - see below) and you can't select more than one tab at a time or cut and paste the tabs either. I'd also much prefer it if you could get rid of the useless normal tabs when you had the sidebar active.

The pseudo-workspace feature is also not as good as OmniWeb's, but at least it adds some semblance of it to Safari.

On the whole though, it looks like a nice bit of work that has room for improvement.

Agree, although I preffer the great looking 'new tab' button.

Very nice for a first implementation. What I'd love to see now: tabs on the right-hand side and when Stand tabs are enabled I'd love to see safari's switched off!

Anyone who speaks chinese want to ask him if he can start making 'universal bundles'? PPC bundles and plugins won't work under rosetta unless you force the main application (safari) to run under rosetta, which makes it slooooooow.

Still vaporware.
