I have a small problem, when I click on the type tool my cursor has a period in it. It is not just a vertical blinking line. This happened as of three weeks ago and I do not know how I changed things. It seems to work correctly but it hust looks weird. Any ideas how I can turn this off again?
Thanks for the help.

I tried that, I have now tried every switch I can in the paragraph and character palettes too. No idea.

Mine too. I noticed that when I upgraded to PS CS2. The dot gives you the baseline of the text for precise positioning on the image.. Haven't figured out what the top and bottom of the flashing line indicate.

Now that you mention it, I believe that was the week I did upgrade to CS. Sorry about that, I guess I'll just get used to it.
Thanks for the help.

Not sure what you're talking about. The Text tool in Photoshop CS2 is just like it was in previous versions.

Yes the cursor is like it was in CS "1" but a little different than earlier versions.
Not a big deal just thought I messed something up.
Thanks
