Just wondering if there are people odd enough to have thought of doing this and maybe have something to offer.
Really.

I recall seeing a company offering a mod to replace the G4 with an Intel CPU. Don't know if OS X could be hacked to run on it, though.

3 MacMinis (WITH case) fit perfectly within a Cube.. some metalwork, frames&screws, and it should be done... ok, no slide-out feature, and the bottom looks... "different"...

if you get a Cube-housing, easy-does-it... ;-)

(yepp, not the answer you wanted to hear, SCRN!!)

i'm pretty sure replacing a g4 with an intel chip is next to impossible...you'd have to but a whole new logic board in at the least...

Not to mention all the other hardware - most (If not all) would have to be replaced to be compatible with the new board.

I suppose a really ambitious (or slightly insane) individual could pull the contents out of an Intel Mini and figure out a way to mount them in a Cube enclosure, though.

Cube PC

This is a conversion done to fit a VIA mini ITX motherboard (they are about the same size as a Mac mini motherboard) into a G4 cube. Its a PC and not a Mac, and VIA isn't Intel, but I think it would be possible to put a Mac mini in a cube (hey, put a 3.5" hard drive in there!!)

It'll be much easier if you just comply.
